This DVD contains a series of lessons from a guitarist with 30 years experience playing, performing and teaching rock guitar. The goal was to create a series of instructional DVD videos light on ego and unnecessary commercial filler. The emphasis is on easy to follow lessons full of bang4buck value with each DVD being the equivalent of many individual private lessons. This series covers each lesson completely through demonstrations, explanation and close up views of the fingerings. You progress at your own pace - playing easier parts first and picking up more difficult parts or leads over time as you progress.
This DVD series includes lessons that are designed to benefit a wide ranges of ages and abilities. However good basic guitar abilities are a prerequisite of this series and this DVD is geared toward a range in the intermediate category. No TAB or written material - its designed to teach thru visual and audio instruction and demonstration as well as training the ear toward the ultimate goal of being able to pick out songs by ear. NOTE: This DVD covers a considerable amount of lead licks and jazz style chords and progressions - it is not suggested for beginners.

Great riffs & songs!
This DVD examines the classic hits of Billy Idol. The songs all have great guitar riffs with short but intense leads. Most of these feature the guitar work of Steve Stevens who also launched his career with Billy Idol up until the late 80's before striking out on his own. I always find myself listening to the guitar in most songs and always liked Billy Idol for this reason - the guitar riffs carried the songs and tone and agressive feel always stood out. The main parts and progressions are fairly easy but require rock solid rhytmic feel but the leads pack a lot of quick bluesy & 80's style into a short span. I think its another great set of songs and licks that every guitarist should have under his belt as well being just plain fun to play!

The DVDS are sold as an individual set of lessons for one individual - they are not to be used, copied or sold to any other party. (However, repeated and multiple use by the original owner is suggested and creating a DVD backup for long term personal storage & use is both permitted and encouraged.
