This DVD contains a series of lessons from a pro guitar teacher with 30 years experience playing and teaching rhythm and lead lines to some of the worlds greatest classic rock tunes.  Not a flashy glitzy extravaganza where some guy rushes thru random 100 licks, this series of DVD's is an informal get-right-to-it video that personalizes the process and uses a simple easy to follow method whose goal is to examine and cover each song completely.   Designed to feel just like a one-on-one guitar lesson by a friendly instructor who actually cares more that you learn the material than how pretty his hair or studio looks.  Learn by demonstrations, examples, and detailed explanation with alternative fingerings and close-ups of the neck fingerings and relevent right hand parts and techniques.   Progress at your own pace and play along - you know its right because you can hear and see it played right up in your face!

FOGHAT Classics*

This series target is post-beginning to intermediate players wanting to learn complete songs but I have continued adding more lead material as more people have requested them.  Based on feedback this DVD continues to focus on more details and complete song study over earlier preference to cover the maximum number of songs.  This DVD covers a pretty good range from some very simple chord progressions to classic 70's style leads to some additional slide study as found in Slow Ride and Stone Blue. 

As always the attempt is to meet the needs of a range of ability from post-beginner (with existing chordal/picking experience) to Intermediate guitarists.  Obviously newer players may not be able to play the more difficult lead/slide parts at first but should come back to them as their playing progresses with practice.  Conversely more advanced players may find some parts very easy and concentrate on the more difficult parts - however, it is still recommended that this series is for those who want to learn the whole songs and not recommended for advanced players that know the songs already and would prefer the entire time spend only on complex lead parts and techniques.

Backing Tracks!:  This DVD also includes some sample backing tracks of basic Drums/Bass parts as well separate mixes with Guitar & Lead parts so you have something to practice and play along with.  I have included shareware MP3 player and plugins for sometime but obviously, do not provide the original songs (and as always, urge everyone to BUY them if they don't already own them).  Sometimes all the vocals and other instruments can get 'in the way' of the guitar parts, so I try to create backing tracks both as a stripped basic track and also with all the guitars and leads so you can choose which to play along with.  By using a Guitar Synthesizer, Bass Lines are laid as well as sometimes instruments 'not' found in the original - but its intended as another tool to play with and once you learn the song playing along with the original recording is also a good idea.

These are found in the BONUS CD folder under \Backing Tracks and must be read using a PC with a DVD drive.  (For those w/o PC DVD drives, a separate CD can be ordered by request.)
