This DVD contains a series of lessons from a pro guitar teacher with 30 years experience playing and teaching rhythm and lead lines to some of the worlds greatest classic rock tunes. This series of DVD's personalizes the process and uses a simple easy to follow method and covers each song completely. Learn by closeup demonstrations, explanation and close up views of the fingerings. You progress at your own pace - playing easier parts first and picking up more each time you play it!
This DVD series includes lessons that are designed to benefit a wide ranges of ages and abilities. While basic guitar abilities are a prerequisite of this series, newer students can find months of material to work on in each DVD - starting on easier songs and working up to the more difficult. The more experienced players may still find surprises in the easier material or just move more quickly to the more advanced details of the chords, riffs and leads. This series does NOT include any TAB or written material - its designed to teach thru visual and audio instruction and demonstration. By watching and playing along with guitar in hand, the student is also training his ear with the ultimate goal of being able to pick out songs on their own.
(NOTES ON GnR DVD: This DVD is geared toward early to mid-intermediate level players - while it has some advanced material it is not intended for advanced players only interested in the more difficult lead material. SLASH is an incredible guitar player and this DVD is geared toward his intense guitar and lead work in Gn'R. The chords and riffs make up a big part of their style and so this DVD doesn't spend a large amount of time on single note or improvised lead work. The main riffs and melodic leads (like intro to Paradise City) are of course done and as always some leads may require a bit more experience to be able completely without additional practice. (This series is NOT designed for BEGINNERS w/o basic abilities of electric guitar technique or very ADVANCED players wanting the whole DVD spent on detailed/advanced lead work - it is geared toward beg-adv intermediate players who want to learn the complete songs w/ techniques and leads made popular by these artists.)

Backing Tracks!: This DVD also includes some sample MP3 backing tracks of basic Drums/Bass parts as well separate mixes with Guitar & Lead parts so you have something to practice and play along with. Custom created backing tracks are included both as a stripped basic track and also with all the guitars and leads so you can choose which to play along with. Occasionally Guitar Synthesizer, Bass and improvised leads are included that are 'not' found in the original - but its all in good fun and intended just as another tool to play with and learn. Playing along with the original recording is encouraged.
These are found on a bonus VCD, which may include a 40+min bonus jam video of Knockin' with the jam tracks in a PC directory as MP3's (not audio cd) - its available upon request, free if purchased from Ebay Store using BIN.
